How do I get started with Ed.ai?

Last updated: October 15, 2026

From your first sign-in to your first graded class set, here’s the whole journey in five steps.

1. Sign in and find your classes

Sign in at app.ed.ai: see Comment se connecter à Ed.ai ?

Your classes live in “My Groups”. If your school connects Ed.ai to its LMS (Canvas, Schoology, Google Classroom…), your classes come in automatically. Otherwise, create a group with “Create new group”, or right from the assessment form with “Create a group”. See Ajouter et modifier un groupe d’élèves

2. Add your assessment

On the home page, click “+ Add an assessment”.

  • Upload your question sheet, your answer key (optional, but recommended) and, if you have one, your grading scale: PDF, Word, LibreOffice, JPEG or PNG, typed or handwritten. You can also pick them from Google Drive or scan them with your phone.

  • Click “Configure assessment”, fill in the title, subject, group, curriculum and course title, then click “Create assessment”.

Ed.ai analyzes your documents in under 20 minutes and builds a detailed grading scale from them. You can adjust every point value. Step by step: Comment ajouter une évaluation ?

3. Add student papers

No need to wait for the analysis to finish: click “Add student papers”. Scan the papers with your school copier or your phone, upload PDFs, or have students scan their own. Ed.ai reads handwritten math, including multi-step work.

Papers are graded in under 30 minutes, and you get an email as soon as they’re ready. A batch import (several papers in one PDF) adds up to 15 minutes. See Comment ajouter des copies d’élèves ?

4. Review the grading

Ed.ai grades each paper question by question, awards partial credit based on your grading scale, and writes feedback that pinpoints each student’s mistakes. You review, adjust, and stay in control of every score. Our tips: Comment relire efficacement les copies corrigées ?

5. Release papers and act on the data
