Can students submit their own papers?

Last updated: October 15, 2026

✅ Yes. It’s an option you can turn on whenever you need it.

There are two ways to add papers in Ed.ai:

  • Added by the teacher (default)

You collect your students’ papers, scan them and upload them to the platform.

  • Submitted by students (optional)

You can let students upload their own handwritten paper directly to Ed.ai. See Comment activer le dépôt élève ?

This works well for homework and take-home assignments, or in class when students have devices, and it stays under your supervision.

The student opens the link or scans the QR code you share, enters their first and last name, then adds their paper in one of two ways: by uploading documents they’ve already scanned (PDF, JPEG or PNG), or by taking photos of their pages with a smartphone or tablet.

    ⚠️ Good to know:

    • The student sees an on-screen confirmation once their paper is sent.

    • Papers show up as they come in in the “Student papers” tab, so you can follow submissions in real time.

    • You can set a submission window (“Set a window”): outside this window, students can’t submit their paper.

    • Students can’t change their paper once they’ve submitted it. Before sending it, they can add or remove pages. When they send it, a message reminds them they won’t be able to change anything afterward.

    • As the teacher, you stay in control of submitted papers:

      • You can delete a paper that isn’t right (duplicate, mistake, wrong version) with “Delete paper” in the paper’s menu,

      • And, if needed, add the right paper yourself instead.
