What happened to the Ed.ai mobile app?

The Ed.ai mobile app is gone: say hello to the Ed.ai mobile website!

⚠️ Please uninstall the app, so you can keep using your phone to scan papers on Ed.ai ⚠️

If you used the mobile app to scan papers, you can now do it right from the mobile website: the same website you use on your computer.

A few things change when you create an assessment and scan papers:

• if you used the mobile app to create an assessment, including the assessment settings:

  • start creating the assessment on your computer, see Comment ajouter une évaluation ?

  • then use your phone to scan the assessment documents and set up the assessment, see Comment numériser mes documents d’évaluation via mon téléphone ?

• if you already started your assessments on the desktop website, the change is small: the QR code now opens the mobile website instead of the app.

Two big new features:

• you can ask your students to scan their own papers, see Comment ajouter des copies d’élèves ?

• our mobile website detects pages

  • turn on auto capture (the ✨ button at the top of the screen): no need to press the capture button anymore, just center the page on the screen and hold steady

  • we crop around the page so the background doesn't show up in your scanned papers: much cleaner!
